In this semi-private class, students from the rank of yellow belt and above can come to focus exclusively on perfecting their kata. While kata is taught within the curriculum of the tuition classes, this class allows students to receive small group or even one-on-one instruction where their techniques will be fine-tuned to make katas crisp and sharp. Students find this class beneficial to make sure their kata is on point for testing, competition or their own sense of accomplishment. The goal of the class is to have the student know katas up to their belt requirement and get them at the top of their game.
Once the kata for their belt requirement is crisp and sharp, students in this class have the option to learn their forms with weapons such as kamas or bo (staff). This class has an outside of tuition charge of $25 per class.
